Blue Orchid Handbags *** Parma, Ohio

I am a “one handbag woman”. I use the same one until I get tired of it, or it starts looking ratty, then I toss it out and get another one. The only time I use a different bag is for the rare occasion I must dress up for an evening out…..then I unearth the small black bag I’ve used for years.

After looking at the bags in Jacqueline Adamany’s Etsy shop, Blue Orchid Handbags, I may have to change my ways. I found several that would really brighten up my summer wardrobe. Pictured are my three favorites. (click on photos for close-ups)

Jacqueline has been sewing for more than 30 years and always found creating something wearable from a few yards of fabric to be magical. Three years ago, her creativity turned towards designing and creating something she loves…handbags. It was a natural progression and one which she has thoroughly enjoyed.

All of Jacqueline’s bags are designed and crafted by her and excellent quality is of utmost importance. She chooses material that not only looks great but feels great and she works on a bag until she is 110% happy with it.

A graphic designer by trade, Jacqueline strives to create handbags that “reflect and communicate the personality of the woman holding it”. She designs for women, of all ages, who appreciate creative style and fresh designs. She continues to be inspired by new fabric, fashion design trends and the women around her.

Jacqueline told me that “there are many new and exciting things on the horizon”, one of which will be virtual home parties. As they become reality, information will be available on both her Etsy shop and her website. Jacqueline’s short term goal is to become a small boutique, with new items posted weekly, and she encourages everyone to sign up for her newsletter where the new items will first be introduced.

In addition to her Etsy shop, her website and her blog, Jacqueline has a shop on Mintd. She was recently accepted into Trunkt (a directory of creative entrepreneurs) and she will soon be selling on SilkFair.
