I received the "Arte y Pico" award!

The "Arte y Pico" award was created to be given to bloggers who inspire others with their creative energy and talent. Receiving this award is a very special honor and I am humbled and grateful to have been bestowed the “Arte y Pico” by Denise Bailey (who writes the wonderful blog, KKL Primitives) and is herself a recipient of the award.

This is what she wrote when giving me the award:

“I really enjoy browsing Ronalyn's blog. She features unique handcrafted items and the artists who created them. From sock monkeys, beautiful watercolor paintings, handcrafted wood furniture, handmade handbags, polymer clay sculptures, jewelry designers, handcarved wooden boxes to gorgeous little crochet baby booties. Ronalyn writes very interesting articles on the artists and showcases their work beautifully.”

Thank you so much, Denise, for considering me worthy of this wonderful award.

For more information about the “Arte y Pico” award, go to: http://www.arteypico.blogspot.com/.

It is written, I believe, in Portuguese but your can translate it with Babel Fish. In fact, I added Babel Fish to my Yahoo tool bar because I sometimes come across blogs or tutorials written in other languages. Often, the translation is not exact but it usually isn’t that difficult to discern what the author meant.

Being the recipient of the “Arte y Pico” bears with it some responsibility. I must choose 5 bloggers whom I consider to be deserving of the award, following the rules below.

1) You must choose 5 blogs that you consider deserving of this award based on creativity, blog design, interesting material, and contribution to the blogger community, no matter the language.

2) Each award must have the name of the author and a link to his or her blog so it can be visited by everyone.

4) The Award-winner, and the one who has given the award, must show the link of the "Arte y Pico" blog, so everyone will know the origin of this award.

5) To show these rules.

It will take a few days to find five deserving recipients, not because there are so few, but because there are so many. It is a daunting task but one which I will tackle with relish! I hope to present my 5 by the end of next week.

  1. Ronalyn,

Congrats on the award! You do have a well written and well put together blog! It also helped me find Little Sun who is drawing the illustrations for a children's book for my brother-in-law. Thanks for all you do! Michelle "yoopers"
